Hyper-V now has 24% of Virtualization Market ?
On Allen Burchill’s blog I found an article where he mentions that Microsoft already should have a 24% market share in the virtualization market. I would like to know where Allen gets his numbers from?
24% for a version 1 Hyper-V product seems to high for me and would be a real tread for VMware.

from what i’ve been told these numbers include WSUS automatic update downloads. I would be more interested in actual numbers of implemented solutions instead of downloads.
But this is pure MS FUD again. throwing numbers without backing them up.

Thx for the reply and the article. If this is thru I would like to dare Allison Watson from Microsoft to give us the real facts and not the phony ones.
I have now spoken directly to people at MS and they confirm that they have 24% market share with Hyper-V v1.
