Citrix Secure Gateway for Windows Server 2008!
It seems that there is a new version of Secure Gateway for Windows Server 2008. I found an article on the website of Thomas Koetzing.
Thomas Koetzing wrote on his blog;
On the media CD of the Delaware preview there is also a version of Citrix Secure Gateway. Installing SG and looking at the files shows version 3.0
Then I started to dig deeper and found that files have changes in the minor build number. During the configuration it says “Advanced Access Controls” and not as before “MetaFrame Secure Access Manager”. Finally I looked into the Presentation Server online help and here it says in the System Software Requirements for Secure Gateway: “Windows Server 2008 Family, except Web Server”! Secure Gateway on Server 2008 should support IPv6…
So what does this mean? Well it means there will be a slightly new version of Secure Gateway that is (still) fully supported by Citrix. Personally I think that’s great news and will make many Citrix customers happy.
